BISPHOSPHONATES

How safe are Bisphosphonates for the treatment of Osteoporosis? If one has been diagnosed with Osteoporosis is taking Calmag C (1500mg calcium/500mg magnesium) sufficient for treatment?

Dear Carol
Bisphosphonates are quite safe to take. If you have osteoporosis (Bone density T-score of -2.5), you need more active therapy than calcium and vitamin D alone. Please discuss therapy with your doctor
