Bipolar

Good day.

I would like to know how strongly irrational thoughts are linked to bipolar disorder and also what trigger these thoughts?

Can disappointment or anger trigger irrational behaviour?

All sorts of things may precipitate irrational behaviour under a wide range of circumstances, so a spcific anser to such a broad question is probably not very helpful as such. Bipolar Disorder includes times when one can get seriously depressed - and seriously depressed people can have irrational thoughts of various kinds ; and bipolar also includes manic periods of being too "high" in which irrational thinking can also occur. Odd thinking patterns can occur in relation to various drugs ( even antibiotics and arthritis meds ) and can be helped by some other drugs.
What matters is to see a good local shrink for a thorough assessment of such thoughts and the range of possible casues, so that one can then plan reasonably how to rid oneself of them and come back to enjoying rationality
