Bio-polar disorder

I am 33 and was diagnosed with Bio-polar disorder 1 and a half years ago. The medication I currently take is Convulex 800 mg and Limictin 300mg per day. Will using champix have a negative influence on this?

Doctors are advised to be cautious about prescribing Campix to people with a history of psychiatric problems. The link is still uncertain, but there may be an increased risk for worsening psychiatric symptoms. This doesn't mean Champix will necessarily out of the question for you, but a careful decision must be made by you and your doctors (psychiatrist and whichever doctor may be prescribing the Champix). Your doctors must be aware of your full medical history, and if you do take a course of Champix you, your doctors and your family/close friends should monitor you for any signs of mood changes and other symptoms.
