Bilharzia blood tests

Can you please tell me if someone has had bilharzia about 20 years ago, would a blood test still come up as positive. the reading was schistosoma IHA 128.

It depends on whether this was IGG or IGM readings and how high the titre was. IGG can be positive even after an infection cleared up.

Many thanks for your reply.

The only reading on the results was Haemagglutination 128 and the titres of > 16 are positive. There is no IGG or IGM. Should I ask for another result to see if this is a current infection?
