Best time to weight &  sugar in yoghurt

Hi, Doc

1. What time of month is best for women to weigh themselves, taking in consideration estrogen and the effect it has on water retention.
2. Does the sugar in yoghurt (like Nutriday / So smooth / Parmalat) affect a diabetic''s sugar control very much? Even if consumed in the 100g portions? Or is plain yogurt best for diabetics?
Thank you

The general rule regarding weighing is that anyone who is trying to lose weight should try to weight themselves once a week at the same time, such as Monday mornings on rising. If your weight increases one week out of 4 because of menstruation, then you know that this is due to water retention and that your weight will drop again after your period. I am personally in favour of the use of plain yoghurt for everyone, but most people like the sweet taste of sweetened or flavoured yoghurts. In the case of diabetics it may be best to use fat-free and artificially sweetened yoghurts if you don't like plain yoghurt.

Commercial yoghurts contain pimaricin- this is an anti biotic - so much for the probiotic marketing bullshit that the yoghurt makers feed us.

And then there is the sugar....
If you don''t add sugar to something it won''t sell, what happened to yoghurt that actually tastes like yoghurt?
