Beginner cycling training program?

Hi

I have been running running for a couple of months now and spend at least 3 days a week at the gym. I am very interested in cycling and have bought myself a road bicycle, are there any training plans freely available for beginner cyclist ?

Regards
John

Hi John

There are some plans here: http://www.health24.com/fitness/Programmes/16-1347.asp

I'm not sure if they are at the right level for you - if you've developed fitness from running, you'll find that you can probably go in at a slightly higher level, so you're not a true beginner. It's a specific type of fitness, but you'll still find it a little easier than going in cold.

So perhaps an intermediate programme will be a good start.

Good luck
