Dear Annon
While bananas are a healthy food, they are not equivalent to a whole loaf of bread. Bread contains more B vitamins, minerals and dietary fibre (if you eat wholewheat, brown or rye or seed breads) and its energy content per loaf is much higher than 1 banana (wholewheat bread provides 930 kJ/100g compared to 384 kJ/100g provided by banana).
Eat both foods to ensure variety in the diet.
