Bakers Cyst

Hi Doc, can Bakers Cyst ''pain'' run up the leg from behind the knee and not only down the calf to ankle? Please advise.

Dear Macdee,

The pain from the Baker's cyst can certainly run up the leg in addition to spreading downwards. There are of course other causes of pain in the upper leg, one of which is referred pain from the lower back
