Our expert says:
I think for now, it's ok. You might look at adding a fourth day a week, which does make quite a big difference. But so far, so good, you're seeing progress, and you seem to be achieving it the right way. So if time is limited, given your change in routine, then three is fine. If you can, add a fourth day and just keep doing what you're doing, because it will make a difference in the future as well.
Once you get fitter, then you can start to play around as well - you might increase the distance to 5km, and try to cover those 5km in maybe 40 minutes, by mixing in a bit of jogging with walking. But be patient, this is a long-distance "race", not a sprint, and it will come in time. Just focus on getting fitter, and you'll see the progress happen all by itself.
