What kind of food can one eat or programs to follow to quickly shed the weight after giving birth

Most women do lose a lot of their pregnancy weight with the birth itself and then with breastfeeding. If you intend breastfeeding, which is vital for your baby's future health, then it is not a good idea to go on drastic slimming diets to lose weight quickly. Rather use an energy-reduced, low-fat, high-fibre diet (click on 'Diet' at the top of this page, 'Weight loss', ‘Balanced diet’ and then on 'Slimming Diet' for a copy of such a diet). Add 2 cups of fat-free milk or yoghurt to this diet if you are breastfeeding. Also increase your energy output by doing regular moderate exercise like going for walks with your baby in the pram.
