Q.

Attn Amy (Down Syndrom Testing)

Hi. I remeber we talked about the 12-14 week scan and when to do blood tests. Did you get your results yet?

My appointment was for 8 in the morning. 7h45 they phoned to asked where I am as they want to do blood so long! So before 8 they took the sample and before we went home I had results already! This was surprising!

Just wanted to share. All looks fine aqnd we wont be doing more tests. But seeing the same doc at 20 week for another checkup. Dont know what they call it  but I can remember he checks all the organs.

Technology is amasing!?

I also have a problem with tops now. And am seriously considering wearing the (still bit too big) preggy pants.

But can''t think of wearing the same 3 pants for another 24 weeks!!!

Will have to go shopping for something!!

I put on my pregnancy pants for the first time today..... yes it is a bit too big, but this is the first time in sooo long that I actually feel comfortable in my clothes!
Only today I realise how my nomal pants irretated me lately.... My tummy is relaxed. I have had no cramps or pains yet since at work... But I cant really start wearing them at 15 weeks!? Lukily the tummy can strech...
I''ll go shopping for longer shirts this weekend. Then nobody has to know what pants I am wearing?

Glad it''s not just me who is hormonal! And thinking that my clothes are tighter everyday makes it even worse! And I just want to stuff my face the whole time with food!!!

Just finished my lunch now and already thinking what I can go buy to munch on!

Where is my post???

I just replied? And I posted a new question on the parenting forum that is lost too?
Am I going crazy????

Yes, I have the moods as well.... and LG is testing her 2 year tantrums so this is not a good combination.

I am sooooooo tired by 08:30 I can''t keep my eyes open. Few times I caught myself sleeping while lying with LG to go to sleep.

No problem with sleeping, when the alarm goes off in the morning I think noooooooo it can''t be. Though I can''t bend anymore, and I am short of breath. Taking the stairs no joy.

How is your moods? I am all over the place again! Especiall highly irritated and very little patience! What a joyride!

That is an amasing story!

Do you have trouble sleeping too?
Mine started last week. I normally fall asleep at 8, but start waking up around 12 by 4 I not even trying to sleep just enjoying the heat in bed!
So yesterday I had lots of things to do and only went to bed 10 to 12... I thought I would at least sleep well.... o no... was laying awake most of the night thinking about babys room and hubbys job and LG''s school and all silly stuff!

Ag big hug! I know you''re still aching for your twins!!

I should share this - I used to work at X-rays long time ago. We once had a lady there of about 40 maybe older, who had a bump in her abdomen and was referred for a sonar. When they did a sonar it was like a little formed human you could identify (not in particular detail, but you could make out the shape of a very, very small fetus). There is a medical term for it, I can''t remember it now. What it boils down is that she was one of twins when her mother expected her. That time technology wasn''t so amazing and they never picked up there was twins even when she was born. What happened and this only happens once in millions and barely are reported or found out is that she was the stronger twin and the other one had defects or did not make it and the donor sack " grew"  into hers and her body basically formed around her. That stories that women told, I still have shivers. She never feels alone, she has this 7th sense, always a guardian angel and till that day could not understand it. Then all of a sudden after this sonar it all made sense to her. She even has the pics to show her unknowing mother!

Anyway, sorry for the long post - it''s just a once in a lifetime story I had to share, especially with you!!

We are hoping for a boy, then we will have one of each, but just as long as baby is healthy we don''t mind. I''d like to have 3 kids but DH would have a nervous breakdown!

Yes, we are waiting till birth for the gender. Did the same with LG. We will have a boy and girl name ready!

Last time I was told craving salt means boy - but I craved salt then and it was a girl! So yesterday when my collegues started on the marmite.... there is no way except sonar.

Do you have a preference? Boy or girl?
I am not sure. I''d love to have both genders.... but... I''d love more kids too... so now I am thinking if it a girl perhaps we''ll try again? I dont know. Does not matter. I as convinced the twins was one of each. So perhaps thats why I cant choose. It feels as if I am chosing who should survive.

Ag wonderful news!! I am so glad your workplace is all fine!!

I also have like braxton hicks, the ligament stretching pain is way advanced than with LG.

How cool is this - I absolutely die at this stage for cream crackers with bovril and cheese!! And I looooooooove meat, but do not fancy chicken.

You still planning to wait till birth for the gender of this one? I can''t wait for my next appointment and do hope that this time we will be able to see!! Then comes the big name thinking!!

We''ll be going end of June at 19 weeks for that big checkup and end of August back to normal gyne.

I am craving marmite &  cheese toasted samies..... This is real bad.... feels I can take it out of LG''s mouth! Otherwise I am NOT eating any meat!
Still have a bit of heartburn, but morningsickness I think is over.

My tummy gets hard though - I guess this is braxton hicks??? Never had this with LG though.

O, and I told my boss yesterday about pregnancy.... all is fine! So now I can wear my jacket open todeay! No more hiding!

Hi Annie

We stay 70km from our gynae so we go once a month and do all thats necessary. The sonar tests showed no evidence of possibile mongolism (nuchal fold and nose bone measurements = fine). But we also did the blood tests. Doc said he would phone us if anything was out of the order (they also receive the bloods the next morning as I was only there in the afternoon).

So he hasn''t phone so I assume no news = good news.

We will be going again in 2 weeks time, on 18 weeks. Then again on 22 weeks we will be doing another color doppler sonar scan where they evaluate all the heart chambers (4 of them) to check for defects, blood flow, umbilical cord, etc. Another expensive checkup but we choose to have it done.

How is your cravings/morning sickness etc?
