Asthma &  COPD

Will a humidifier assist breathing when the airconditioner is running.Please advise if a basic humidifier is good enough or whether a airconditioner/humidifyer is available and whether it is worth the the expense.

a humidifier only puts back moisture in the air. Some airconditioners may dry out the air but most retain about 50% of the moisture. A humidifier may reduce airway irritation and allergy symptoms but won't really assist breathing in asthma or emphysema patients.
