anxiety issues

Hi, i have had depression off and on since i was 8 years old, and i have been reading up on different types of depression. i think i have dysthemia. which i think is a constant low feeling, i do also have types when i have an attack of severe depression which lasts many months, my last bout of this type of depression was in jan this year and has seemed to be leveling out now( sort of, i think). but what i have noticed is that i am fine most of the time, but there are a few days in a month when i feel extremely anxious, to the where i cant stop crying. this does not happen very often but i would like to know why this happens? its i because of the depression? or is it hormonal? i am a 20 year old female and i am on the pill(yasmin)

thank you!

There could well be a homonal aspect to this, but the only way to be usefully sure would be to see a good local psychiatrist for a full assessment, which could take into account all relevant factors. There could be an overlap between several aspects of mood problems, and a management pklan based on a proper understanding of these would be wise
