Our expert says:
In my experience, those are not the best treatments for anxiety, and it sounds like you[re being treated by a GP, rather than a specialist psychiatrist. As for a referral to a good local psychiatrist for further assessment and a discussion of treatment options --- Eglonyl is not a good treatment for anything, in my experience, and is not recommended by international experts for anxiety. And Ativan is a sedative tranquillizer, but has some disadvantages. If you have not found these to be helping you ( and if you've been taking them fior some days ), other treatments can be considered. CBT Counselling can be very effective, and often drugs also used as antidep[ressants can be more helpful
