antihistamine

Hi dr. I had a laparotomy for tube pregnancy on 13th Jan 2011.
I take the odd painkiller and no other meds. I have been suffering with allergic rhinitis and would like to know
if its safe to take an antihistamine to stop sneezing especially as this causes pain?
What antihistamine is safest after laparotomy?

It is safe to take an antihistamine, like Deselex, which is a long acting and non-sedating antihistamine. You can combine Deselex with a nasal spray, like Nasonex.
