Have heard about it and recieved the info from them. But my pharmacist was sceptical so didn't order. I have a huge insulin resistance problem so would love to hear from anyone who's using it successfully or not? 10 Pin It user comments Posted by: GeoMaree | 2007/03/21 I friend of mine bought Antagolin a few weeks ago. She doesn't know whether it works yet, but will let me know. She is very overweight and I don't know whether she is eating the right foods... I want to try it myself, but I am also trying a few other things and might get confused about what is working and what is not. I have finally been diagnosed with insulin resistance a few weeks ago. It really is creepy! I gained 35kg during the last 5 years and all that the doctors had to say was to drop the weight! I have been to the best of the best specialists, but this seems like a "self help" sickness. They all have different things to say. I am also busy reading 2 books with another 2 in the post from the USA. I am drinking 10 supplements a day and eating NO CARBS at all. The supplements all assist with insulin resistance. It must be used together, in combination, hmmm, whatever!I must say, I have lost 2kg during the last 2 weeks. I know this seems like nothing, but I am used to gaining weight all the time. I am getting bigger and bigger by the month! I am not joking! I used to wear a size 12, but now wear a size 20 (if it has the right cut).I promise all of you - as soon as I get this thing sorted out, and I know I will, I am starting my own "blog" so that all the "fat" people out there can finally get help free of charge!I will get back to you all... Reply to GeoMaree Posted by: Loudre | 2007/02/14 I have a huge insulin problem, after hearing about antagolin i ordered it, but could only order in bulk, so i had to take six months supply.Im not sure if it works, i havnt dropped any weight, even though i watched what i ate and exercised. It seems to be just another gimmick, i wil go on with it, but doubt whether its going to work. Reply to Loudre Posted by: T..C | 2007/01/12 I have just bought myself a bottle of anigolin. I started it on the 11.01.07 will let you know if it works or not I must just add that Iamalso on a low carb diet. Reply to T..C Posted by: lilly | 2007/01/11 Ek het daarvan gelees in Huisgenoot.Dit klink vir my na 'n baie goeie keuse.Volgens advertensie werk dit baie soos Xenical of Orlistat(generies).Xenical is baie duur. Weet nie wat die prys van Antagolin is nie. Reply to lilly Posted by: curious | 2007/01/11 Only prescription medication is printed in MIMS, this is an over the counter herbal/natural product....thats why its not in MIMS.Nadine, not sure how long its been on the market but if you visit the website above Dietdoc mentioned, you can read all about it.I haven't used it, but was also curious about it. I saw it advertised in YOU magazine about a month or two ago. I looked in my copy of MIMS, which lists all prescription medications, but there is no mention of Antagolin tablets. You could also try doing a Search with Google for SA to see if it comes up.Good luckDietDoc Date: 29/11/2006 Reply to Nadine Posted by: Nadine | 2007/01/11 How long has it been on the market Curious? Reply to Nadine Posted by: curious | 2007/01/11 Did a search on DietDoc's Forum and found this reply by her to queries:-Subject: Posted by: DietDoc Message: Dear FootlooseAs I promised another Reader the other day, I did a search on Google (SA) with the term Antagolin which took me to the Website of an organisation called 'Medical Nutritional Institute' which sells Antagolin in SA. The Website is at:www dot mnilifestyle dot co dot za You can read up the details they give about the product. If you are already taking Glucophage 3 times a day and not losing weight then I would seriously recommend that you should consult a clinical dietitian (visit the Association for Dietetics in SA Website at: www dot adsa dot org dot za and click on "Find a Dietitian" to find a dietitian in your area). The dietitian will work out a diet for you that is based on foods with a low GI. The MNI who make Antagolin evidently also have diet clinics which you can join, probably at a fee. In the meanwhile click on 'Diet' and 'Weight loss' and 'The right approach' and read the articles on the GI. Also click on ‘Food as Medicine' on the Diet Site and then on ‘Type 2 diabetes'. Also make sure that the type of exercise you are doing is aerobic (running, jogging, brisk walking, rowing, spinning, skipping, cycling) because you need to do this type of exercise to stimulate your metabolism and lower your blood glucose levels.Best regardsDietDoc Date: 20/12/2006 Reply to curious Posted by: curious | 2007/01/11 I did a search in the archives of this forum and found the following messages with reference to AntaGolin4. 1 ANTA GOLIN curious 21/12/2006 3. 2 ANTAGOLIN Kielies 28/11/2006 2. 4 Antagolin Lynette 13/11/2006 1. 1 PCOS Sufferers Charms 6/11/2006 It has been on the market for a while. Reply to curious Posted by: Nadine | 2007/01/10 This product only came on the market about 4 weeks ago. Maybe you should ask the pharmacist on the expert page or diet doc as soon as she is online again. I think if you do have an insulin resistance problem that you should contact your GP and ask him/her to prescribe you something, also take the info along, so that the expert (GP) can have a look at it!
