Annual Leave

Just need to know the rules regarding annual leave -
1.Can it only be taken after 1 year of service to the company?
2. Can leave not taken during the year be forfeited?without being carried over to the next year or being paid to the employee

Most companies legislate that you can only take annual leave after one year of service. Also companies have rules where if you don't take your leave during that financial year that it can be forfeited.
