Allergerx Elixer contains 2 mg Chlorpheniramine/5 ml.

Dosage:
-
-Adults: A total of 10-40 ml (4-16 mg) daily in 3-4 divided doses.
-Children 6-12 months: 2.5ml (1 mg) twice a day
-Children 1-5 yrs: 2.5-5 ml (1-2 mg) three times a day
-Cildren 6-12 yrs: 10 ml (4 mg) 3-4 times a day

Please all note: my 1.5 year old daughter had a terrible allergic reaction to Allergex, apparently not uncommon, and ended up in hospital with fever and hallucinations. We now know to never give or accept her any medication with that main ingredient in it. It was terrifying.

I have been told to give my two year old allergex at night, and ever since i have been doing this she wakes up at 01:00am till 3:30am could this be due to the allergex?
