African Grey Parrot is sick

Hi, Our African Grey appears to be ill - he is sleeping most of the time not eating or drinking and he is faeces are yellow in colour. Sounds like he is wheezing when he breaths. He is really weak. Is there anything we can do. Please help can he be treated by any vet or just an avain vet?

Thank you

Dear Thea

A vet with a interest in birds will be the best.

Birds only start showing they''re sick at a very late stage, so every second counts. Get him to a vet ASAP. As in now. If you can''t find an avian specialist, then a regular vet is the next best thing.

Find out very fast if you have an avian vet in your area, this birdie needs help very fast.

Some ordinary vets are very good with vets , so do a quick few phone calls in the morning.

I kn ow the good bird vets on the north coast and durban .
