African Grey

Dr, wat is fout met ons African Grey? Sy verloor haar vere dit lyk altyd of sy verveer. As die ander vere uitkom, is van hulle rooi.

Ons het al vir haar van die " fancy"  kos gekoop maar sy wil dit nie eet nie. Ons gee vir haar gemengde papagaai kos wat ons koop. Sy kry elke dag vrugte of groente. Sy is nou 7-jaar oud.

The change in the feathers can be due to the following:

a) mutation
b) trauma due to feather plucking
c) malnutrition
d) over supplementation
e) liver disease/kidney disease
f) sickness

I would advise that you seek the opinion of a Avian Vet and ensure that all is ok with your Grey.
