advice post op

Hi there
I had an operation on 21 October 2009 to remove endometriosis as well as 2 ovarian cysts. Is it normal for me to still feel extreme pain when menstruating. This would be the second time I am menstruating after the operation. Please advise.

It may be that all the endometriosis was not removed, or that these areas are still healing. The pain with menstruation is a feature of endometriosis.

Best wishes
