Q.

Adult ADHD

Hi there,

I have adult ADHD not on medication yet (only recently found out... although I always knew I wasn''t like other people) I have Bipolar as well which I am being treated for.

I didn''t finish high school, I got fed up and I gave up.

I am 28 years old.
I am so forgetful lately that I ask people the same question over and over and over forgetting that I already asked them... I am constantly fidgeting I cant sit still for more than 20 minutes, I am constantly confused. My concentration is non existing. I cant work I make too many mistakes, my desk looks like a dogs breakfast. My moods are constantly changing...

I have given up I cant do my job anymore it seems like with time my adhd is just getting worse and worse... I am being replaced at work with someone competent, my symptoms are so bad I am now not going to work at all :o( At least I have a partner successful partner with lots of money that doesn''t mind taking care of me.

I am only going to see my doc again next week.

I feel like a total failure!

Dear Arrabella - you sound just like me. It took me a very long time to find out that although I have ADHD like symptoms I am actually Autistic  i.e.: high functioning Autistic also known as Aspergers Syndrome with Executive Function disorder - you should look into this and see if it applies to you...good luck!!
