Its typical of ECT that it for a time disturbs Short-term memory. - so you'd remember well that you had a cat, but might not remember what was the last pack of cat food you bought for him.
Your cat's dehydration is understandable ( they're fussy and creatures of habit. Must be careful with mine not to give her too much dry food at one time, as she loves it, but after a couple of hours wont eat any more of whatever has been left in the bowl. I'm more puzzled why lately so many very rich celebrities get admitted to hospital and its said they're suffering from 'dehydration" - were they really too dumb to remember to drink water ? Ach, these Slebs !
Some of the minor missing memories one might not recover, where there was a temporary problem in the recording of them, but one usually isn't missing much !
