Dear Molegogeng
Infants and small children not not need to have salt added to their food and adding salt to their diet can put a strain on their little kidneys. It is the adults in a child's life who think that foods without added salt are tasteless. The young children themselves do not have this perception. He will in any case be getting sodium (the mineral in table salt) from his foods. Wait until he is older before you introduce him to salty foods so that he does not become one of the many people who eat too much salt and then suffer from high blood pressure.
