Home > Experts > Question Question Posted by: Susan | 2013/03/11 Will Ritalin help with carelessness? According to my daughter's Gr 5 teacher, she is one of the top clever kids in her class. However, due to careless mistakes in school tests she performs below average, especially in subjects where detail counts (maths, languages). She was diagnosed with ADD three years ago, but I took her off the Concerta she was on last year due to extreme anxiety side effects. WE are going to try Ritalin LA 10 now. Would this help with careless mistakes, because if she continues like this she will always perform much lower than her abilities, which damages her self-confidence (her books are full of red "you can do better!"s, and "careless!")
