Home > Experts > Question Question Posted by: Linda | 2013/04/25 I had stopped breastfeeding for a short time due to sore bleeding nipples, now my one breast only has a few drops. Can i increase the supply? I had some ducts removed from my left breast and i am breastfeeding with the other. At first, the left was producing some milk, but my nipples got sore and were bleeding so i stopped for a short while and used formula so they could heal a bit. When i started breastfeeding again i think i used the right breast more (as there was more milk in this one) and now my left breast only has a about four drops of milk and some of it is clear liquid (maybe colostrum?) My baby is 11 weeks old. Is there anything i can do to increase the supply in my left breast because my right breast does not supply enough to full up my baby and i have to also use formula?
