Home > Experts > Question Question Posted by: Kate | 2013-07-03 Boerboel fear of noisy cars my 2,5 year old boerboel male, was castrated age 6 months has no aggressive features nor had any incident regarding cars, but I jog with our dog regularly up to 10 km but if there is cars passing he completely freezes up as if its a large dog growling at him. how can i help him overcome this fear? there was no pre-empted reason/incident that has happened with regards to cars so i dont know where the fear resides from Not what you were looking for? Distract him and carry on on in a normal way and desensitize him in a progressive way ie. Gradual exposure which becomes more and more intense until nothing bothers him..
