Home > Experts > Question Question Posted by: | 2013/06/24 Baby not sleeping Since birth my baby would stay awake for hours during the night. It wasn't a lot, maybe once a month. But the last 9 months has been hell! He is now 18 months. He would wake up at more or less 11 and we can only manage to get him to sleep at about 3 am. It happens maybe 5 nights in a week. He eats well, is not always teething, he is not crying. He wants to play! He is like an energizer bunny. Only cries when we try to make him sleep. We took him to peadiatricians. One said he needed to be sleep trained, other one said it will pass. They ruled out medical conditions. We left him to cry, (I don't like that but is desperate), he cries when he can't get out of his cot to play or don't get attention, but he doesn't stop! We tried Stilpane, Phenergan, Allergex, Vallergan forte. It would give relief for a night or 2 then doesn't even have an effect. And I don't want to dose him! I want a permanent solution. What can I do? Me and my husband work full day and I drive far so it is very tiresome. I also have a 3year old and this affects him as well. Please help!! Not what you were looking for?
