7 Year old boy

Hi,

Our 7 year old boy tends not to automatically close his mouth/lips in scenarios where it is obvious.

E.g. When swallowing medicine from a spoon
E.g. When jumping into the swimming pool
E.g. When chewing on his food

Can this point to an underlying problem?

Thanks
Elfrieda

Hallo Elfrieda
He may have a problem that his nose is chronically blocked and that he is mouth breathing and that it is now a habit - let your GP have a look and refer him to an ENT specialist if needed.
