@1213 - stop counting calories

To be able to maintain weight/pickup or lose weight you need to know how many calories are in foods. Ask any athlete.
Knowing what your calory intake is and what it should be for your requirements is absolutely nessasary.

Even non-athletes should know this for a healthy lifestyle.

Counting calories for no specific reason is a problem as the doc said. Hope i made myself more clear.

" simply forming a good set of eating habits"  - to be able to do this you need to know the calories and nutritional value of food.

Put in other words.
If you are obese you should count the calories you consume to be able to calculate how many of these to cut so that your body is in a calory defecit.
Without knowing these things you will NEVER be able to make healthy eating decisions.
The same goes for building. Ask any competitive sportsman if he/she eats whet he " thinks"  is ok. Ask Phelps how many calories he consumes in a day and he will be able to tell you to the cloasest 10.

Im sorry, but no, you' re not making yourself clear,im not following you at all. Are you saying counting calories is a good thing or a bad thing?
