B-well Canola Oil has gone pink with their year-end labels – well beyond breast cancer awareness month (October) – to stress the importance of regular all year round breast examination.
For additional awareness, B-well Canola Oil partnered with Radio Tygerberg in providing many women free enhanced clinical breast examinations using the SureTouch device, during a two-day health campaign in Cape Town.
B-well Canola Oil, a product of Southern Oil (SOILL), supports Cansa’s Balanced Lifestyle Campaign and donated a R250 000 SureTouch machine to Cansa, which is used in mobile health units and some Cansa Care Centres to carry out pre-breast screening prior to referral of patients for mammography if needed.
Cansa approved B-well Canola Oil as a Cansa Smart Choice, based on its low saturated fat, high Omega-3 content and favourable 2:1 Omega 6:3 ratio – all factors considered by research to reduce the risk of cancer.
Southern Oil is the only local producer of Canola Oil in South Africa, involved from the procurement of seed for the farmers, to bottling the end product. Only the finest local canola is used in the production of B-well Canola Oil.
