Skip the gym, stay at home

Exercise is good. You should do it. We doubt that news is going to come as a surprise to you. What might surprise you, though, is where you should be doing it.

The gym, you see, might not be the best venue for your calorie-crushing. New research suggests that programmes focused on exercising at home are followed more often and yield better results than those that involve going to the gym frequently.

The logic is simple, having to get in your car and drive to the gym adds another obstacle that you really don’t want to overcome. Remove that barrier and exercise is quite literally at your doorstep.

The only question now is how to get the most out of your home exercise regime.
