Recognise the signs of burnout

If you've been running from pillar to post trying to achieve the impossible, you may very well be suffering from burnout. This is different from simply being tired. A good night's sleep will not relieve burnout.

Here are a few signs that you need to find a way to slow down and take stock of your life:

  • You feel sad and tired much of the time
  • You have difficulty concentrating
  • You feel indifferent to the needs of others
  • You feel your workload is far too great to be done properly
  • You drink or eat too much
  • You have lost interest in social or sexual activities.
