The South African Weather Service has forecast morning fog with isolated rain and cloudy conditions in some provinces.
Otherwise, most regions in the country can expect fine and warm to hot temperatures for the start of the weekend.

A Yellow Level 2 warning has been issued for wind and waves resulting in difficulty in navigation at sea between Saldanha Bay and Cape Agulhas.

Mpumalanga and Limpopo will be fine and warm to hot, becoming cloudy along the escarpment in the evening with a chance of drizzle and fog patches.

The Northern Cape will have morning fog patches in the south and west, where it will be partly cloudy in the morning.
Otherwise, it will be fine and cool to cold, but warm in the north and north-east.
The wind along the coast will be a light to moderate southerly to south-easterly, becoming fresh to strong by the late morning.
Morning fog patches are expected over the West Coast District of the Western Cape. Otherwise, cloudy to partly cloudy conditions are forecast and it will be cool to cold with isolated showers over the southern parts at first.
The wind along the coast will be a light to moderate south-westerly along the west and south-west coast, where it will become fresh to strong southerly to south-easterly from the afternoon.
Otherwise, a moderate to fresh westerly is expected.

The western half of the Eastern Cape can expect cloudy conditions with isolated showers along the coast in the morning, otherwise fine and cool temperatures are expected.
The wind along the coast will be a fresh to strong south-westerly.
The eastern half of the province will be partly cloudy and cool, becoming cloudy with a chance of light rain along the Wild Coast and adjacent interior in the evening.
The wind along the coast will be a moderate to fresh south-westerly.
Fine temperatures are forecast for KwaZulu-Natal's west until late afternoon. Otherwise, cloudy and cool to warm conditions are expected with isolated showers and rain in the east.
The wind along the coast will be a moderate to fresh northerly to north-easterly in the north at first. Otherwise, a moderate to fresh southerly to south-westerly is expected, becoming strong in places and spreading to Kosi Bay by late morning.
